WHY IS THE ANNUAL DOT INSPECTION IMPORTANT?

The anual DOT Inspection is similar to the 90-day BIT Inspection with the difference being a federal regilation on an anual basis. This inspection must also be inspected by a qualified mechanic who can provide you with a certification regarding the control of your unit. These form should be recorded and maintained in the event an audit is performed.

WHY THE 90-DAY BIT INSPECTION IS OMPORTANT?

The GVW rating of 10,000 lbs or more. The state of California REQUIRES the inspection of your truck over 90 days. The Basic Inspection of Terminals (BIT) requires you have a filed history of inspected made by qualified mechanic and date history of audits.
